Autumn Heritage Days @ Healey Dell

Celebrating Our Woodland Heritage Project is a three year Heritage Lottery Funded project being led by Pennine Prospects (Southern Pennine Rural Regeneration Company). This is our 2nd year delivering Heritage Forest School Tasters at Healey Dell looking at textiles and industry. Children get a chance to explore their local environment, learn about it’s heritage and learn new skills relevant to the topic. ¬†For these sessions children learn how the woodland can be used as a natural resource to make birch bobbins, cotton printing, weaving and making natural dyes and paints.

Childrens comments (Shawclough Primary)
