Our monthly Dig “n” Delve sessions at Ealees Woods continue to be popular. Last month, we explored the woods looking for the first signs of spring. Using rolling pins made from short sections of willow, we rolled clay into “eggs” then decorated them with the catkins and cones we had found. Some children used vegetable peelers to peel the bark off their rolling pins to make them smoother while others used twigs to make patterns.
These sessions are part of a 3 year Heritage Lottery Funded project led by Pennine Prospects Celebrating Our Woodland Heritage. Run in partnership with Littleborough Children’s Centre, places are limited … so book early by contacting 01706 378166
