REAL Trust CPDs & Skill Share courses

NatureEd run a number of seasonal skill sharing sessions on behalf of the Rochdale Education And Learning Trust .  The sessions are very hands-on, giving practical tips on how to run sessions with children, the best equipment to use, local contacts, etc. Courses include
Forest School skills (working with tools, campfire cooking, plant id, foraging)
Outdoor Learning (eg River studies, natural art, plant id, geology supporting eco school clubs etc)
Taking the Curriculum Outside (e.g. looking at ways of using outdoors to teach maths, literacy, PSHE etc.)

Early Years Foundation 

We provide a range of courses for Early Years practitioners including Children’s Centres, Registered Childminders, Playworkers, etc. We have also delivered workshops at the Early Years conference at Hopwood Hall in 2015 and 2016.
Our sessions are very practical, looking at how to provide safe, quality activities outdoors by focusing on the natural world and the sensory experiences it offers.

Whole School Forest School Skills Share                                            

NatureEd provides whole school training opportunities for teachers and also parent helpers to raise awareness of Forest Schools and offer skills sharing opportunities.
NatureEd specialise in outdoor learning, taking the curriculum outside – NEW courses are available with the REAL Trust which concentrate on curriculum subjects such as Maths and Literacy demonstrating kinetic, hands on practical ways for experiencing curriculum topics giving them reason and purpose which helps childrens learning .  These sessions can also be brought to your school.
